As many know, the night before Thanksgiving is one of the biggest party nights of the year. This year, a close friend of mine had been drinking at the bar. She became intoxicated and then got a text from her boyfriend of a year, saying he wanted to end things. She became hysterical, shaking and crying. A friend from high school pulled her outside and called another friend, Kelsey, to tell her what was going on. Kelsey had not spoken to my close friend in a very long time, however, she was not 21 yet and offered to drive my friend home. My friend was intoxicated and extremely upset, but she was worried about getting her car home. Kelsey then offered to drive her car for her as her friend, Gabby, followed. Kelsey helped my friend into her car and drove her about 15 minutes to her house while Gabby followed in Kelsey's car. Kelsey and Gabby had just finished up at a restaurant down the road from the bar when they received the call about my friend. They had not talked to her in a long time and did not owe her anything. They did all of this out of the kindness of their hearts, to make sure she got home safely.
